Letters to June, #26

Dear June,

Sometimes it feels good to let your emotions go. I know it’s not good to bottle up your emotions. If you do, it’ll blow up when you least want it to.

It’s also not good to always show your emotions. I don’t know why that is but I know it’s not. I think we hold back emotion to save face – ours and the people we’re talking to. We think it’s best out of  consideration. What if it offends someone? Makes someone sad or angry? Or embarrasses someone?

But how do you know when it’s the right time to show emotion or hold it back? Is it an unexplainable feeling inside us? Shouldn’t we be able to show our emotion all the time? Why isn’t it okay June?

What if we lived in a world where everyone said how they felt all the time? I’d think there wouldn’t be as many miscommunications. But I’d still think feelings would get hurt regardless. Would that be good or bad? What do you think June?

I know it’s a lot of questions and I’m just rambling. I just I’m just in a questioning mood.

I’ll write to you soon.

Love and all the good things,
